Founders' Day

June 13, 2016 was a momentous day for this school. June 12 is a red-letter day in the chronicles of our school. It was on this day in 2014 that our school opened its gates and welcomed its students for the first time. This day is now celebrated as the Founder’s day.

The special assembly began with an invocation song by Mr. Anand, our faculty. To every student, his/her alma mater is a matter of pride and Ms. Bhargavi, a former student of NPS, recalled her time as a student of the school. Ms. Prabha, senior faculty reminisced about her years at NPS as a teacher with distinct pride. Two students of Grade 10 – Janani and Kevin Christopher recollected some of their favourite moments of their life at NPSI. As a celebration of the Founder’s day, the students of Grade 9 and 10 rendered a melodious Hindustaani – Carnatic medley holding the audience spell bound. The dance to foot-tapping numbers by the Grade 9 students lent a festive atmosphere to the event.

Our Principal, Mrs. Sudha Balan spoke to the students about the hard work and dedication of our Founders – Dr. K. P. Gopalkrishna and Ms. Santhamma Gopalkrishna that has borne fruit in the form of NPS group of institutions. She enthralled the audience with a few anecdotes about her teaching experiences. She also spoke about the ethos and culture that our school stands for and the various morals and values that are instilled in every student of the school. As the assembly drew to a close, the students were proud yet inspired and motivated to do their best in the school.
