A Talk on Robotics

Dr. Rukmani Vijakumar is an IITian, an invited speaker at the University of Southern Maine and the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. She gave a brief talk to the faculty members on Friday, the 13th of February, 2015. The session concentrated on mathematics, robotics and their application in real time situations.

The various informations she shared with the faculty was informative. It was about the various ways to approach the analytical problems and the problem solving skills that can be inculcated in classroom teaching. She stressed that subjects like Computers, Mathematics and Robotics ought to be designed in a manner that would integrate and this would help in problem solving ability in children. She stated that encouraging students to play indoor games like chess would also help them to stay focused.

The session was really a thought provoking one!
