Young Entrepreneurship Programme, 2018
The Young Entrepreneurship programme 2017-18 culminated in the market day on the 23rd of February. This curriculum linked programme helped the students to develop their innovative, marketing, communication and computing skills.
YEP included a number of tasks, video watch, conducting the market survey, creating the presentation, buying materials for production, calculating the production cost and finally to design and display the products.
The young entrepreneurs from grades 6 and 7, plunged into their tasks with great enthusiasm. They created presentation slides for the parents and ensured that the parents were willing venture capitalists.
Students created products such as pouches, bobble rugs, pen stands, greeting cards, fridge magnets to name a few.
The market Day was a colourful, vibrant environment with our parents becoming enthusiastic, encouraging buyers.
The products were sold out in no time and the students thereafter tabulated , counted the money and then prepared the balance sheets.
The money invested by venture capitalists, our parents was returned and the profit was given to a charitable organization called ‘Faces’. It was a heartening experience for the students and for the teachers.
