Grade 2 - Visit to the India Seashell Museum
Grade 2 students had an enjoyable and educational visit to the India Seashell Museum, experiencing a day full of learning and discovery. The trip began at the Seashell Museum, where students saw over 40,000 shells of different shapes, sizes, and origins. The collection, started by Mr. Raja Mohamed during his diving adventures, is now the largest in Asia and highlights the beauty and diversity of marine life.
Next, students explored the Fish Aquarium, observing colourful clownfish, angelfish, and other marine species, learning about underwater ecosystems. At the Pearl Museum, they discovered how pearls are formed inside oysters and admired South Sea pearls in both raw and crafted forms.
The Dinosaur Park was a highlight, featuring lifelike models of T-Rex and other dinosaurs that transported students to prehistoric times. The visit concluded at the 3D Art Gallery, where realistic artworks of animals, birds, and sea creatures engaged students and showcased creative use of perspective.
Overall, the trip offered a wonderful blend of education and fun, helping Grade 2 students appreciate marine life, art, and history while creating lasting memories.
