Founder's Day, 2025
On June 12, 2025, NPSIC celebrated its 12th Founders Day, marking a significant milestone in the history of the school. Founded by Dr KP Gopalkrishna, the NPS group has 60 years plus legacy and NPSIC takes pride in being part of this legacy. This year’s celebrations were doubly special with the presence of our Dean and co-founder, Dr. Mrs. Santhamma Gopalkrishna and Associate Director, Ms Josheta Hari.
In honour of the founder Dr KP Gopalkrishna and his vision, a range of activities were conducted across grades, in line with the board’s focus on wellbeing.
Classroom Activities
Grades 1 and 2 were taken through a colorful and engaging PowerPoint presentation about the founders and their vision to create a nurturing environment for children to learn and grow.
Following the presentation, each bay was assigned prompts such as, “what you love most about school”, and if they designed a “Thank you card” what would it say? Students collaborated in groups to create beautiful artwork reflecting their assigned themes. It was heartening to see the children’s creativity and teamwork during this activity.
The students thoroughly enjoyed the celebration and expressed a sense of pride in being part of the NPSI community. Their artwork was later displayed on the school boards, where it was admired by the Dean and co-founder, Dr. Mrs. Santhamma Gopalkrishna and Ms Josheta Hari, who expressed delight at the creativity and effort shown by our young learners.
Children from Grades 3 to 5 creatively expressed their love and pride for their school by designing posters based on various prompts, such as:
- What do you love most about your school?
- Can you draw a picture showing what makes our school special?
- What makes your school a happy place?
- What would you tell a friend about your school that makes you proud?
- If our founder were watching our classroom today, what would make them smile?
Much cheer and joy was evident as students worked together to create these posters.
Grades 6 to 8 worked in groups to write heartfelt gratitude notes to the school. Several thoughful prompts were shared such as:
A Silent Hero I’m Grateful For…….
Dear Teacher, You Make Our School Special Because….
To the One Who Inspires Me Every Day…
Im grateful to my founders for…..
Im grateful to my peers for……
I feel proud to be an NPSIte because….
These notes were posted on colourful sticky notes and displayed on charts, creating a collective expression of appreciation.
Students of grades 9 to 12 also penned gratitude notes to the founders, their teachers, peers and parents. Some wrote encouraging and hopeful letters to their future selves.
Auditorium event
The programme in the auditorium commenced with a welcome address, setting a gracious and respectful tone for the event. This was followed by an invocation, a powerful rendition of ‘Endaro Mahanubhavulu’ with accompanying instruments, seeking blessings for continued success and growth.
The celebration also featured a vibrant dance performance, signifying the rich cultural spirit of the school. The music and dance performances added warmth and color to the occasion, embodying the values of unity, creativity, and joy that the founders have always encouraged.
A highlight of the event was the address by our Dean, who reflected on the school’s inspiring journey, the values that shaped its mission, and the vision that continues to guide its path forward. The heartfelt speech resonated with the audience – students from grades 5 to 12 and served as a reminder of the institution’s noble beginnings and ambitious future.
Adding a meaningful dimension to the celebration was the presence of alumni, batch 2024-25, who returned to their alma mater to express their gratitude and share cherished memories. Their presence served as a testament to the enduring impact of the school’s values and the founders’ vision.
The programme concluded with a sincere vote of thanks, expressing deep gratitude to the founders, dignitaries, staff, students, and parents for their continued support and contributions.
The Founder’s Day celebration was a meaningful tribute to our Chairman and Dean, whose enduring passion and commitment continue to shape the future of education at our school.
