Founders' Day, 2026

NPS International School commemorated Founders' Day with great enthusiasm and reverence, celebrating the vision and legacy of our Founder, Dr. K. P. Gopalakrishna.

The programme commenced with a soulful instrumental rendition of Vatapi Ganapathim, one of the most celebrated invocatory compositions by the renowned Carnatic composer Muthuswami Dikshitar. The performance created a serene and reflective atmosphere, setting the perfect tone for the celebration.

This was followed by a melodious group song, Telisi Rama, a revered Carnatic kriti composed by Saint Tyagaraja in devotion to Lord Rama. The students' harmonious rendition added warmth and vibrancy to the occasion, captivating the audience with its musical excellence.

The celebration continued with an energetic and visually engaging dance performance featuring the art of Tutting, a dance style characterized by precise hand, arm, and finger movements that form intricate geometric patterns. The performance beautifully showcased the creativity, coordination, and talent of the students.

One of the highlights of the programme was the Founders' Day Quiz, which provided students with an opportunity to deepen their understanding of the institution's history, vision, and the invaluable contributions of our Founder. The quiz generated enthusiastic participation and fostered a spirit of healthy competition while reinforcing awareness of the school's rich heritage.

The celebration concluded with inspiring addresses by the Principals, Ms. Ranjani Ayyar and Ms. Radhika Madhavan. In their speeches, they reflected on the remarkable journey and enduring contributions of Dr. K. P. Gopalakrishna and emphasized the values that continue to define the NPS family. They encouraged students to uphold the ideals of excellence, integrity, perseverance, and service, and to carry forward the rich legacy of the institution in all their future endeavours.

The Founders' Day celebration served as a meaningful tribute to the vision of our Founder and reaffirmed the commitment of the NPS International community to strive for excellence while remaining firmly rooted in its core values.
