Assembly Grade 8A, 2024-2025
The students of Grade 8A had an excellent opportunity to present their school assembly with the theme "Expectations Vs Reality", a topic that everyone can easily relate to. At NPSIC, assemblies provide a platform for students to showcase their talents, promote a sense of community and school spirit. The 8A students displayed their teamwork, camaraderie, and resourcefulness in preparing for and presenting their programme.
The show started with a back-to-school scenario where two new students introduced themselves and were taken care of by a buddy assigned by their teacher. The buddies take the new students on a tour showing them the various rooms in the school. The show is broken down into three segments- the first segment showcases the holiday homework expectations vs reality wherein the students are asked to submit their holiday homework by their teacher and how the students give excuses is portrayed in a humorous way. The show continues with the journey of new students talking about the second segment playground expectations vs reality followed by social expectations vs reality.
The news anchors shared updates of the happenings around us with International News, National News, Weather News and Sports News. This was followed by a quiz that engaged the audience. As always, the quiz witnessed enthusiastic participation from the audience. The thought for the day also emphasised on the importance in understanding that expectations and reality differ. The key is to remain flexible, resilient, and open-minded. Embrace challenges, learn from experiences, and keep striving towards your goals.
A stupendous effort by the children in collaborating and rendering the dance and mellifluous music was the highlight of the show.
The assembly was wrapped up with the vote of thanks. Students conveyed their gratitude to the principal, vice principals, coordinator, class teacher and non-teaching staff for their support and encouragement. The assembly left the audience with a feeling to grow and improve continuously and not worry about achieving perfection.
