Grade 8 - Field Trip to Jawadhu Hills
The Grade 8 students enjoyed a truly memorable overnight camping trip to Jawadhu Hills that beautifully blended learning, adventure, and fun. The journey began early in the morning with great excitement and enthusiasm among the students. Upon arrival, they settled into the campsite and enjoyed a traditional South Indian lunch, followed by simple, wholesome meals throughout the stay. The cool hill weather and occasional light drizzles added a refreshing charm to the entire experience.
A major highlight of the trip was the visit to the renowned Vainu Bappu Observatory. Students gained fascinating insights into astronomy, learned about telescopes, and experienced the thrill of observing stars and planets, sparking curiosity and wonder. The trip also included a variety of outdoor activities, team games, and a lively campfire evening, which strengthened bonding, cooperation, and teamwork among the students.
The next morning began with an energising sunrise trek, offering breathtaking views of nature. This was followed by hands-on rural experiences that provided valuable lessons on sustainable living and life in harmony with nature. Overall, the trip was enriching, enjoyable, and unforgettable for everyone involved.
