Grade 6 - Field Trip to Mahabalipuram 2026
The students of Grade 6 went on an exciting educational trip to Mahabalipuram, a UNESCO World Heritage site, where history came alive through magnificent monuments and the scenic coastal setting. The journey was filled with enthusiasm as students explored the rich cultural heritage of the Pallava dynasty.
The visit began at the iconic Shore Temple, standing majestically along the Bay of Bengal. Students were fascinated to learn how this centuries-old structure has withstood the forces of nature and time. They then visited the Five Rathas, where each monument is carved from a single rock. The intricate carvings and varied architectural styles offered valuable insights into ancient craftsmanship. Another highlight was Krishna’s Butter Ball, a massive balancing boulder that amazed the students.
The group also explored the Tiger Caves, imagining their historical significance and ancient uses. After sightseeing, students enjoyed a delicious vegetarian buffet lunch at a nearby beach resort, followed by an afternoon of outdoor games and relaxation. The trip concluded with cheerful memories, making it both educational and enjoyable.
