Assembly: Grade 8 C
The students of Grade 8 had an excellent opportunity to showcase their creativity and talents during their Assembly program on the 19th of December, 2022. The students displayed their team-work, camaraderie, and resourcefulness in preparing for and presenting their program.
The students of 8C presented the theme, ‘Past vs Present,’ and began with the creation of time by a mad scientist. The narrative brought the audience on a trip through the ages, spanning diverse timelines. Students used their non-linear tale to highlight the failed assassination of Theodore Roosevelt, arrange a face-off between cooking prodigies Bartolomeo Scappi and Gordon Ramsey, and showcase the comedic genius of of Charlie Chaplin and Joey Tribbiani.
The assembly was interspersed with national and world news, and a quiz that challenged the audience. One of the highlights was the melodious medley of songs from different times rendered by the entire class. The audience were well entertained, and greatly appreciated the show. Students left the viewers with an uplifting thought:
“The past is kind enough to give you lessons.
The present is kind enough to give you opportunities.
The future is kind enough to give you both.”
