Grade 2A Assembly
The students of Grade 2A presented a heart-warming and powerful class assembly on the theme “Peace and Harmony.” The atmosphere in the auditorium was filled with excitement as the young performers confidently stepped onto the stage, ready to spread a beautiful message of love, unity, and togetherness.
The programme began with an inspiring “Thought for the Day.” The children shared meaningful thoughts about kindness, forgiveness, and friendship. Their strong and clear voices echoed across the hall, reminding everyone that even small acts of goodness can create a big difference in the world.
A mesmerizing individual performance on the mridangam followed. The rhythmic beats resonated through the auditorium, creating a magical moment of harmony through music. The audience watched in admiration as the young performer displayed remarkable focus and talent.
The highlight of the morning was the lively skit titled “Quarrelsome Game.” With expressive acting and energetic dialogue, the children portrayed how misunderstandings and arguments disturb peace. As the story unfolded, the characters realized the value of friendship, cooperation, and harmony. The powerful message that peace brings happiness touched every heart in the audience.
The stage then came alive with a graceful and colourful dance performance symbolizing unity. The coordinated steps, and joyful expressions beautifully reflected the spirit of togetherness.
One of the most captivating segments was when students dressed as great leaders and peacemakers who shaped history with their wisdom and compassion. Children confidently portrayed Sarojini Naidu, Jawaharlal Nehru, Mahatma Gandhi, Mother Teresa, Rabindranath Tagore, Swami Vivekananda, and A. P. J. Abdul Kalam. Each child spoke a few powerful lines, reminding everyone that peace begins within us and spreads through our actions.
Adding excitement to the assembly, the quiz masters energetically asked questions about peace and harmony, encouraging the audience to think and respond enthusiastically. The entire class then joined together to sing “I’ve Got Peace Like a River.” Their cheerful voices blended beautifully, filling the hall with positivity and hope.
The assembly concluded with a sincere vote of thanks. Parents felt immense pride and joy watching their little ones shine confidently on stage. Their wholehearted support and encouragement added to the success of the programme.
