The assembly began with an introductory speech by the MC followed by the thoughts for the day. The thoughts were chosen to motivate the students to keep trying in the face of failure. News from papers and facts about Dussehra kept the audience engaged.
A skit was performed to showcase the significance of Dussehra. The students adorned the various mythological characters like Durga, Mahishasura and Devas. Chants invoking the Goddess Mahishasuramardhini depicted the battle scene and the victory of good over evil.
Foot-tapping numbers choreographed to Dussehra songs livened up the stage.
A quick quiz tested the audience’s ability to recollect facts shared with them earlier.
The show came to an end with the MC proposing vote of thanks with a special mention of the supportive audience.
