Green is the New Smart” — and Grade 11 proved just how true that is!

In a refreshing blend of intellect, creativity, and talent, the students of Grade 11 brought to life the theme “Green is the New Smart” in their well-curated and impactful assembly. Every moment of the 30-minute program was filled with purpose, passion, and performance.

The assembly opened with a crisp news segment, presenting well-rounded updates from the national and international arenas, along with the weather report of the day. A thoughtful and motivating “Thought for the Day” followed, setting the tone for what was to unfold.

At the heart of the assembly was a brilliantly-scripted skit, a powerful dramatization that imagined a bold decision by a world leader to ban fossil fuels, sparking a global search for alternative energy sources. In stepped the champions of sustainability such as hydro, solar, wind, and biomass ,each represented by a spirited presenter who passionately made their case. With wit, clarity, and conviction, the dialogue between energy source owners and curious investors helped the audience understand the potential and promise of each option, culminating in a collective nod toward biomass as the future.

Adding a burst of rhythm and color, the students delivered a high-energy dance performance that had the audience thoroughly engaged. But it didn’t stop there, the music segment raised the bar even higher. With stunning coordination and finesse, the student band wowed the crowd with a performance where the keyboard, guitar, and drums came together in perfect harmony. The musical talent on display was nothing short of spectacular.
